The Elkin Baptist Association seeks a *part-time Associational Mission Strategist (AMS) to lead its 17 member churches in beautiful northwest North Carolina. The candidate holds fully to the Baptist Faith & Message 2000. He/she has a heart for pastoral work, a strong desire/vision for missions, previous pastoral and associational experience, theological training, and a specific call to serve as an AMS. *This position will be approximately 20 hours per week.

Mountain View (MVBC) is a Southern Baptist Convention affiliated church located in rural Hamptonville, North Carolina. MVBC’s average worship attendance is 250 – 300 and includes a great diversity of ages. Job Description
Full-time Associate Pastor of Students. We are seeking someone with a strong faith in and love for Christ, as well as a desire to disciple our students (7th grade – college) toward spiritual growth and maturity. He will need to be enthusiastic, organized, and able to communicate well with staff, students, parents, and volunteers. Our student program includes, but is not limited to, Sunday mornings, Sunday evenings, and Wednesday evenings. Bible studies, fellowships, outreach events, personal outreach, camps, retreats, and mission trips will be component parts of our youth ministry.
Job Qualifications
The Associate Pastor of Students will be the lead staff person in coordinating, furthering, equipping, and encouraging middle-school and high-school students (grades 7-12) and their parents in a comprehensive ministry. The goal of this endeavor will be to see students and families come to know Jesus and develop in their knowledge of and faith in Christ.
The Associate Pastor of Students must have a sense of call and a passion for ministry with students and their families that is grounded in an understanding and appreciation of God’s Word. This person should have appropriate experience in student ministry and possess good communication skills with both students and adults. Commitment comes from an understanding of God’s love for us and God’s desire for us to make the Good News of Jesus Christ come alive in tangible ways for each family.
A willingness to grow in faith in this position as the overall ministry strategy of our church develops is a requirement.

Antioch Baptist Church in Chapel Hill is seeking a part-time Minister of Music. This is a salaried position (nominally 10-15 hours per week) with salary dependent on experience. We will consider hiring on an interim basis to engage an individual as quickly as possible.
Minimum qualifications:
- Committed disciple of Jesus Christ, seeking to know, love and serve people, and also committed to continual spiritual growth.
- Passion and vision for developing a music ministry program who views music as an integral part of worship.
- Proven experience in leading praise and worship, preferably in a church setting.
- Ability to lead, inspire and engage the congregation during the worship experience.
- Flexibility and the ability to work effectively with church staff and members, and flow with last-minute changes.
- Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills
- Strong vocal and musical skills, with the ability to lead worship using soundtracks, piano, organ, and other instruments.
- Satisfactory compliance with all Antioch Baptist Church conditions of employment as described in the Personnel Handbook including agreement with the Employee Lifestyle Agreement.
- Applicants will be subject to a Criminal Background Check before formal hiring.
Key Responsibilities:
- Select appropriate worship songs that align with the theme and message of the Sunday morning worship service.
- Direct a weekly rehearsal with the choir and musicians.
- Work with the Technology committee to ensure audio equipment is set-up and ready on Sunday morning.
- Identify new musical opportunities and provide occasions for congregational musicians and singers to share and exercise their talents and gifts.
- Recruit members for vocal groups, soloists and musicians for regular services or other musical programs
- Foster a spirit of worship and reverence among the worship team and congregation.
- As ex-officio member of the Music Committee you will attend meetings and work together to: plan and coordinate budget requests and expenses; advise and consult concerning special worship and music programs; order and maintain musical instruments and supplies.
- Stay connected with current trends in worship music and incorporate them into services as appropriate.
- Contribute to church-wide, ministry-wide, and campus events as needed.
