Deep Creek Baptist Church

Deep Creek Baptist Church is looking for a Part-time Church Secretary. The work schedule is two days each week from 9am to 2pm. Duties include: production and distribution of the weekly bulletin and monthly newsletter; record and distribute the phone tree messages; forwarding phoned-in benevolence requests to Deacons; taking applications for Fellowship hall rental; and keeping the calendar of church activities (usually from a quarterly planning meeting with the committee chairmen).

Director of Music Ministries
Position Summary
To promote leadership in developing and implementing the music ministries of
Flat Rock Baptist Church, and to actively engage the congregation in worship
through music.
Responsibilities of the Director of Music Ministries
 Coordinate music at all worship services including any vocal and/or instrumental
performances. Work with the Pastor and Worship Committee in planning.
 Coordinate music, media and overall worship service with Pastor and Director of Media
Ministries.
 Possibly provide musical accompaniment for services, weddings, and funerals.
 Direct the Praise Band/Praise Team and Choir.
 Recruit and encourage musicians, both vocal and instrumental, within the congregation and
promote the music program.
 Maintain regular choir rehearsal and communicate weekly with choir members via email.
 Select and purchase choir music within budget.
 Prepare and transcribe instrumentation and vocal arrangements.
 Plan special music for weekly worship services and special occasion and holidays.
 Catalog and organize all music resources.
 Oversee the care and upkeep of all instruments.
 Provide the secretary and the Media Director with song lyrics and other bulletin information.
 Participate in the weekly staff meetings.
 Assist the Pastor with other ministry projects as needed.
 Offer suggestions and observations which would improve our music ministry.
 Assume such other duties as may be assigned by the pastor.
Qualifications
 A degree in music education, music performance or equivalent experience.
 Enthusiastic with good verbal and written communication skills.
 Ability to actively engage the congregation during worship through music.
 Keyboard experience preferred.

 Ability to give detailed attention to the duties for which he/she is primarily responsible while
offering imaginative and creative thinking to the overall worship at Flat Rock Baptist Church.

  • Mobile Home Installation Foreman: Use your leadership skills to guide teams of volunteers and construction workers in installing high-quality modular homes, all while sharing the love of Jesus Christ.
  • Mobile Home Installation Construction Workers: Join our dedicated Rebuild team to install modular homes with precision and care. Work alongside volunteers and foremen to ensure safe, efficient installation that transforms lives and provides a stable foundation for families in need.
  • Furniture Installation Construction Workers: Support both our stick-built and modular home construction teams by installing essential furniture for families in need. This work will help turn houses into homes, offering comfort to families rebuilding their lives.
  • Beneficiary Service Coordinators: Serve as a compassionate liaison between our beneficiaries and the Rebuild team, providing continuous support and guidance throughout the rebuilding process. This role is vital in ensuring homeowners are informed and cared for every step of the way.
