Job Description:
Oversee all children’s ministry and education areas from birth through sixth grade. The Children’s Pastor/Director will partner with the senior pastor in his/her vision for developing children as disciples of Christ
QUALIFICATIONS:
Born-again believer in Jesus Christ
Abilities: Able to teach children’s lessons and lead and inspire volunteers and volunteer teams.
Character: A stable, maturing believer in Jesus Christ, whose life evidences Christian character, devotion to the Lord, and walking under the control of the Spirit. Responsible, dependable, and able to keep confidences.
Spiritual Growth: Committed to spiritual growth through prayer life and daily devotion time in God’s word. Encourage a strong prayer base among teachers and leaders.
Management: Demonstrates organization and ability to initiate and implement administrative procedures and self-discipline to work independently on agreed upon goals.
Passion: A heartfelt passion to honor and glorify God through impacting children for Christ.
Leadership: A visionary person, compassionate, prayerful, and teachable, who can recruit, manage, and motivate others. This person should be able to effectively apply biblical and theological truth in ministry.

Communication: Effectively communicate in a timely manner with all parents/guardians, staff, volunteers, and wider church body.
Interpersonal skills: Able to interact with all age groups through good verbal and written communication skills. Have a desire to consistently grow and develop individuals with interests in children’s ministries.
Committed: Have an unreserved commitment to the mission, vision, and values of Maplewood Baptist Church. Committing to church membership in the first sixth months of employment. Financially support the overall ministry by giving His tithes to the church’s general budget and personal offerings as the Lord leads.
Education: A degree or pursuing education related to local church ministry or quality experience in lieu of formal education.
Ministry Responsibilities
1. Ensure fulfillment of the Maplewood’s children’s ministry vision.
2. Under the senior pastor’s supervision, the children’s pastor shall plan, promote, implement, and oversee an approved comprehensive ministry program for children from birth through sixth grade to include, but not limited to the following: Sunday School, Children’s Church, summer camp, Wednesday evening programming, Family Night, Nursery, Children’s Choir, VBS, and other areas aligned with the Children’s Ministry
3. Develop a dynamic team of staff and volunteers by providing resources and training and implementing appreciation strategies.
4. Consistently communicate with ministry leaders and volunteers to foster teamwork and belonging. Build a team that owns the children’s ministry. NO RENTERS ALLOWED!
5. Provide Bible Fellowship lessons and home activities for all parents and encourage use throughout the week.
6. Develop an active outreach ministry to preschoolers, elementary age kids, and their families.
7. Actively monitor and report progress in all ministry areas.
8. Provide resources to parents for them to augment their parenting skills and improve their relationship with their children.
9. Communicate in a timely manner with new families.
10. Develop and implement policies for the safety and security of the children, the volunteers and the church.
11. Facilitate the sharing of space, resources, and teaching materials by the church and other ministries/departments.
12. Coordinate and staff nursery/preschool care during agreed church-wide events.
13. Track growth for future development.
14. Ensure orderliness of ministry areas.
15. Build and manage approved budget.

Deep Creek Baptist Church
Deep Creek Baptist Church is looking for a Part-time Church Secretary. The work schedule is two days each week from 9am to 2pm. Duties include: production and distribution of the weekly bulletin and monthly newsletter; record and distribute the phone tree messages; forwarding phoned-in benevolence requests to Deacons; taking applications for Fellowship hall rental; and keeping the calendar of church activities (usually from a quarterly planning meeting with the committee chairmen).

Director of Music Ministries
Position Summary
To promote leadership in developing and implementing the music ministries of
Flat Rock Baptist Church, and to actively engage the congregation in worship
through music.
Responsibilities of the Director of Music Ministries
Coordinate music at all worship services including any vocal and/or instrumental
performances. Work with the Pastor and Worship Committee in planning.
Coordinate music, media and overall worship service with Pastor and Director of Media
Ministries.
Possibly provide musical accompaniment for services, weddings, and funerals.
Direct the Praise Band/Praise Team and Choir.
Recruit and encourage musicians, both vocal and instrumental, within the congregation and
promote the music program.
Maintain regular choir rehearsal and communicate weekly with choir members via email.
Select and purchase choir music within budget.
Prepare and transcribe instrumentation and vocal arrangements.
Plan special music for weekly worship services and special occasion and holidays.
Catalog and organize all music resources.
Oversee the care and upkeep of all instruments.
Provide the secretary and the Media Director with song lyrics and other bulletin information.
Participate in the weekly staff meetings.
Assist the Pastor with other ministry projects as needed.
Offer suggestions and observations which would improve our music ministry.
Assume such other duties as may be assigned by the pastor.
Qualifications
A degree in music education, music performance or equivalent experience.
Enthusiastic with good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to actively engage the congregation during worship through music.
Keyboard experience preferred.
Ability to give detailed attention to the duties for which he/she is primarily responsible while
offering imaginative and creative thinking to the overall worship at Flat Rock Baptist Church.
